OUR STORY

Owning and operating a small business is a goal I’ve had since I was a young boy. To be doing something I enjoy doing and am passionate about is really rewarding.

The way I was introduced to the flooring and tile trade was through my Dad. My Dad has done flooring and tile for as long as I can remember. He ran a business in a small town in MN. In my early 20’s I started helping with his business, which at the time was a blend of large commercial jobs and residential remodels. After many years of working under my old man I moved to another city. That city was Fargo, ND. Not long after moving to Fargo I found work in the flooring and tile industry as an hourly employee. I worked that job and a many many other jobs before moving on. After working for a few companies in the FM area. I found one company (who is still in business today)that was doing really nice high quality work every time no matter what. Even if the job took all day and all night they did it right. And it was this company that gave me the motivation to become a better installer. I also worked for a hand full of companies that where a complete disaster. With this knowledge of how other business’ were operating I started River City Flooring and Tile in 2014 with the vision of being a great company that customers can trust over and over again and be able to maintain a high quality standard over and over again.
